On Friday the 9th April 2010, the Forum for the Empowerment of Women held their first Fridays @ FEW at Entabeni Gaydor, a gay and lesbian pub in Orlando West Ext. Lesbian relationships and money matters was a burning topic that brought heaps of concerns from the participants that attended the event.

On 12 April 2010, Forum for the Empowerment of Women, participated in the National LGBT Expo, hosted by HIVOS, a funder, at OUT LGBT-Wellbeing’s offices in Pretoria.The exhibition aimed to create a space for networking among South African LGBTI organizations, where they got to know more about each other’s work, share information and interact with funders, with a common purpose of advancing LGBTI work in the country.

Gender DynamiX is deeply concerned about the policing of bodies by the State. A very large part of our work is centred on examining the practices of the Department of Health (DoH) and the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) and their unethical activities towards Transgender people. We are now faced with the question whether this is becoming a government trend.

The Forum for Empowerment of Women (FEW) is pleased with the support from the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) community during a picnic and car wash on Saturday 27 March 2010 at Zoo Lake.
The event was organized to raise funds for Chosen Few lesbian soccer team, to assist with resources, as they will be participating in the Gay Games Tournament in Cologne, Germany in July 2010.
